A UNESCO World Heritage Site is a place of special cultural o physical significance, while each site remains part of the legal territory of the state where it is located, UNESCO considers it in the interest of the international community to preserve each site.

Spain behind Italy and China, has more than 40 World Human Heritage, however 4 sites in this list of 1007 sites are in Belarus. I visited Bialowieza Forest at the beginning of my stay in Brest, and some days ago I visited Mir Castle Complex and Architectural, and Residential and Cultural Complex of the Radziwill Family at Nesvizh.

A road trip along flat land, winter?s landscape and grey sky, led us to Nesvizch.

A few kilometers away we visited Mir Castle, included in UNESCO list in 2000. Currently, the inside of the building shows a modern and didactic exhibition, with explanations in English. What I enjoyed most was courtyard and climbing the towers taking stairs not appropriated for claustrophobic people. ?To visit the interiors visitors have to put some protection in their foot.
